This is another Borrowed Prompt.
In my "saved for someday" corner I found a sheet titled:
Writing Prompts by Kelli Russell Agodon – www.agodon.com
Some of them are good old standards already in our playlist,
something someone developed for a workshop and others
have revised for clarity or kicks.
This one couldn’t be put more clearly. And, boy, does it ever show the power of a title!
Write a poem in two sections about two completely different things.
Have the title link both items in some (surprising?) way.
Maybe not so surprising…

So I too will save your borrowed prompt for another day.
Today is National Haiku Day and the NaPoWriMo prompt was to write a poem inspired by a piece of music and to share that piece’s title as the title of the poem. Because traditional haiku do not have titles, I decided to find several five syllable song titles to use as the first lines of haiku. I selected three songs by Bob Dylan as my inspiration.
like a rolling stone
tumbled ashore by high tide
clouds obscure the moon
blowin’ in the wind
single leaf cartwheels on the grass
unexpected grace
tangled up in blue
bare branches on a cloudless sky
dandelion sun
